05.09.07 Legal Translation. Supplemental Terms or Conditions to the TBMA/ISMA Global Master Repurchase Agreement were to be translated from English to Russian language. While most of the documents written in a standard English legal language and can easily be translated into Russian legal language, there still were plenty of specific terms and abbreviations in the text, including names of different types of repurchase transactions, names of international regulatory banking institutions and organizations that work with securities worldwide. To translate them we had to know them or learn about them.

05.07.07 Legal Translation. A joint venture proposal for manufacturing of sandwich panels. This English to Russian translation could also be classified as a technical translation assignment, but since it is a proposal of the agreement form, we decided that it better fits into Russian legal translations category. Anyway, the document contains a lot of technical terms arranged in form of a draft joint venture agreement. So the idea was to make sure the legal aspects of the text are preserved in Russian language, while the technical terms in the translation also required great effort to find the exact equivalents.
